Kevin Clarke

Chairman

Kevin Clarke BSc (Eng), MBA (Cum Laude), MAICD is Executive Chairman of Jeminex Limited. He is also Non-Executive Chairman of National Fire Solution Pty Ltd a private equity backed property services company in Australia, and a Director of Austock Group, an independent, publicly listed diversified investment and financial services group.

Until 2006, Kevin was CEO of Alesco Corporation Limited for 11 years, a company that grew from a market capitalisation of less than $100 million to almost $1 billion at the time he left.

Prior to that, he was CEO of Hudaco Industries Limited, a publicly listed manufacturer and distributor of branded industrial products servicing the industrial and mining sectors in South Africa.

Kevin has more than 25 years’ experience in manufacturing and industrial marketing.

Geoff Heatley

Deputy Chairman

Geoffrey Heatley was elected to the Jeminex Limited Board of Directors as Non- Executive Deputy Chairman in April 2005.

He is based in Canning Vale, Western Australia, and has more than 35 years’ experience in the industrial consumables market.

Geoff established Heatleys in 1987 when he started a foam sealant and tape distribution business. The company now generates annual sales of $80 million from a branch network throughout Western Australia and South Australia.
 

Greg Smith

Head of Private Equity AMP

Greg is responsible for expansion capital investments in Australia and portfolio management in New Zealand.  Since joining the Australian Private Equity team, Greg has made a significant contribution through his involvement with C&W Optus and its subsequent successful public listing.  Other transactions he has been involved with include the management buyout (MBO) of APV's catering equipment business, Moffat.

Greg has over 25 years of experience in the private equity industry with specific skills in assessing the viability of a business and building business relationships.  Greg is actively involved in the peak industry body, The Australian Venture Capital Association (AVCAL) and was elected Chairman of that Association for the year 2002.  Since joining AMP Capital Investors, Greg has invested in over 90 Private Equity investments.

Jason Varone

Chief Operating Officer

Jason is the Chief Operating Officer of Jeminex Limited.  He held the position of Divisional General Manager for the Lifting, Workwear & Safety Division of Jeminex for two years prior to this role.  He spent seven years as General Manager of Beaver Brands Pty Ltd, joining the company in July 2001. Under Jason’s leadership, Beaver Brands annual turnover trebled to $38 million.

Prior to Beaver Brands, Jason was Deputy Managing Director of Damelian Automobile Limited for six years and a Board Member of Rick Damelian Pty Ltd for eight years. He was joint Dealer Principal of several prestige new car houses and oversaw the operations of four service divisions.

Jason is a Director of the Fall Protection Manufacturers Association, an industry body representing the height safety industry.
